Leveraging the Lessons of the Pandemic for Enhanced Equity and Access
Promoting Recovery and Resilience with Respect, Responsiveness and Relevance
Our Covid-19 Response:
As an experienced, equity and access based firm, Exponential Evaluation and Development Services recognized that this pandemic would impact our
most vulnerable neighbors and institutions disproportionately. We committed to offering immediate assistance in evaluating needs, developing program responses, strengthening partnerships, planning strategically, supporting vulnerable communities, and promoting equity-based services to meet evolving and unprecedented needs in educational, health care and non-profit systems on behalf of those impacted by Covid-19.
For example, in February 2019 we began providing pro-bono supports to past clients to plan for rapid and increased demand, significant changes in operation, potential shut-downs, financial opportunities and losses, employee support needs, and integration with community, state, and federal planning. As the escalating impact of transmission, severity, case numbers, and many other variables emerged, we were privileged to provide additional supports working with their Boards and stakeholders to survey and respond rapidly to emerging community needs while applying successfully for PPP and/or SBA assistance made available through the CARES Act, and more recently, the American Rescue Plan (ARP). Executive Coaching took on a greater share of our business as schools and other systems worked to promote transparency and responsiveness in a rapidly changing environment.
Through most of 2021, our work became providing Executive Coaching supports and facilitating communication systems to promote equity, access, transparency and on-going responsiveness in a rapidly changing environment. In 2022 we are honored to be assisting multiple health care and educational systems adapt service delivery models to maintain services while responding to the Omicron surge. We are engaged with them in CHNA and Strategic Planning processes to respond to staffing changes and vacancies, the need for new competencies, community engagement and communication strategies, and the development of metrics that accurately reflect learning and successes during the on-going pandemic.
Our founder, Eileen Rossler, served on the Presidential Strand Committee for the American Evaluation Association's first ever, all virtual, annual conference in 2020, which provided interactive professional development and networking opportunities with international evaluators including innovative development, evaluation and policy responses to both the pandemic and the social justice imperatives of our times.

As our nation celebrates vaccination gains and signs of recovery in many sectors, we understand that new development needs are emerging in Human Resource Management, Sustainability Planning, Remediating Educational, Economic and Health Care Disparities and translating learning from this unprecedented time to Strategic Planning for our collective future.
